A great book to bring in the time of year and still learn with fun at that child’s age.
Check out whole book as there is so much more than just a reading level story for learning.

Beautiful Pictures and Supportive Text

This book is perfect for emergent readers. The pictures elicit conversation with students and I like the way there are subtle “hints” to help kids with the high frequency words. All kindergarten and grade one classes should have this book series available to students.
