I love me some sci-fi. The writing of “Felorian: The Beam Wewriting” is extremely descriptive and poetic, that it just draws you in. For example, in the opening line of chapter 1, the author writes “two stars waltzed in an eternal embrace” then proceed to describe the beautiful sunset in the world of Endora. Which I must say the worldbuiling and the setting of the planet is something else. Later we learn that Waizey, an feline alien of a planet called Feloria is a beamwalker from who begins to question what he knows and was taught and must change to go up against the order that threatens them. Even though the pacing may drag at times, the atmosphere kept me drawn in to the story. Some of the story kind of reminded me of the divide between the native tribes in the movie Avatar who were connected to the land, and the modern technological advances of the earthly race.
